Former Legend of Sunagakure, he kills the remains of weakness among the Sand, and leaves to fight and learn further...first step, joining Akatsuki!

Fairy Tail OC/Dark Guildmaster

Tue Oct 20, 2009, 12:49 PM
Name: Saldo Thalamin
Age: 30
Sex: Male
Guild: Blood Oath(marked by a Trident with three pronged points, dark red in color. Saldo's is on the lower left side of his throat)
Rank: S (Former member of the Ten Wizard Saints)

Appearance: Saldo is about six feet in height, with black hair, with two golden brown streaks to the right and left side, and a slight tan. His face is covered by a series of seals, which form into a dragon-like shape across the entire area. His hair is usually in a combed back, neat fashion, but when using his Dragonslayer abilities, it quickly rises up and falls, creating a somewhat messy variation. His eyes are a bright purple, though this also changes with further power, becoming much darker in the process.
His uniform consists of a series of both solid, and loose armor(similar to [link] , though more of a tight fit). While the loose, clothing oriented sections are a mixture of Gold and Black, the armor plate marked with symbols near the shoulders, are silver(the symbols being that of his Guild, instead of that found in the picture) and the back end of the plates have a series of two small spikes from each. His true uniform is rarely seen, as he wears a large black cloak whenever outside of his own territory. (he also lacks any helmet found in the example)
Personality: Saldo is an average, lower class raised male. Though his experience has tought him well, he rarely lets such knowledge define him, and is often found trying to enjoy life despite his choices in the past. If any trait had attention shown to it, it would be his love of the hunt, and battle in general. Much more a Wolf then a Dragon, he uses a mixture of battlefield tactics and joy when facing both an opponent, or a needed meal in the wild. He also carries a clear pack mentality, putting only his Guild in a place of value, everything else is given little thought. This includes everything OTHER then the Requests his Guild takes on, seeing how status as a Dark Guild brings a great deal of caution to daily life. Personal opinion varies greatly among the Guild, but to Saldo, the rules are clear. Though they will kill freely, and enjoy doing so, they will never take a pure soul(this does nothing for the overall status of his Guild, since even when fitting the mold, most missions result in a wide array of damage to their surroundings, which cannot be accepted by the Magic Council)

History: Saldo was actually born in a neighboring country to Fiore, known only for their brutal, almost primal daily life, including ritual sacrifice and acceptance of Murder. Even with the small connections the current Saldo may have to his former country, he remembers little and did little soul searching at the young age he was(though this doesn't stop the Magic Council from bringing up his former home as proof of his Dark Guildmaster status). After his family, with Royal blood, was hunted down and killed for their status, he was taken by one of the few caring followers they had, to the borders of Fiore. Despite saving his life, the person left soon after, his heart tainted even after such honor, due to the young Saldo's heritage. Saldo would wander the outter edge of the unknown Country for many weeks...until...
Finding a small spring after multiple run ins with the native wildlife, Saldo was cought by the scent of rotting flesh. This of course, along with a series of other distasteful smells, was common back home, leading him to follow as it got stronger. He would come to a cave enveloped in the scent of death. This cave was far from a happy place. Not only did it have a constant stream of smoke coming from within, but any entry would be met with both dangerous rock formations, and an ever growing "hallway" form. Far from anything a child would be attracted to, even one such as Saldo. As a result, he would simply make camp closeby, enjoying the area, however deadly, over the open wild.
It wouldn't take long for the owner of said home, to exit in need of a meal. None other then a Dragon, the beasts mere movement caused the ground beneath a sleeping Saldo to shake, making him rush to meet the foe and defend himself, if needed. To his surprise, the Dragon simply looked down from above with a smile. "Child, are you alone? Why not go hunting with me, I think we could both use a friend..." It would be years before Saldo found out, that this Dragons powerful aura was strong enough to rot the very soul of weak, or young strangers. Yet Saldo himself had survived with no ill effect, he left no lifeless shell in that forest. The Dragon was Steleficus, one of the eldest of the Dragons, and who would become known as Saldo's Father.

As Saldo grew, he was tought of the world, however warped his Fathers opinion of it was, and in the ways of the Dragonslayer. Steleficus would quickly see talent in the Boy, increasing the difficulty of his training to a point even Dragons would fear. But, despite the trials, Saldo did nothing but excel. In time, he would nearly master his Magical ability, though his Father wouldn't be there to see it.
Saldo would wake on a beautiful morning, just like every other after following his Dragon Father. This day though, would bring his world crashing down. No matter how far he traveled, how hard he looked, or who he asked, Saldo would never find his Father. Instead, in searching for him, he would become a well known Mage, even before ever joining a Guild of his own. This would however, come quite soon, as he was asked to join a rising Guild known as Royal Diamond, known for their holier then though persona to the Guilds of the neighboring town of Magnolia. Saldo would enter simply with connection to the Mage world in mind, not knowing the selfish and annoying traits of his new Guild mates.
As his record grew, and with it the brand of a title of his own, the ways of his fellow Mages became much clearer, leading to many issues with his former friends. After a few more years dealing with such issues, Saldo was granted the title of Wizard Saint, which only fueled the fires of hate. In the most high scale mission the Guild had ever accepted, despite the Guild using torture and Saldo's own special weapons among other methods out of spite for the enemy, they used a foe beat nearly to death by Saldo, against him. Since the killing of others unless in times of war was against the law within the Mage world, the Guild would finish off the stranger as he cried for death. With a twist of the hand, it was all too easy to add a bit of extra scraps originating from Saldo himself, to frame him. As a clean up crew was sent soon after, the Magic Council was informed of this act as if Saldo had targeted the man and the enemy Guild from the very start, leading to his loss of title as a Saint, and his banning from the Guild and notice as a criminal. He would be forced into the wild once more, by a similar incident to that which uprooted him as a child.
Saldo was never one to show pity, so it was unclear if he had thoughts of killing or not, but increasing violence was common when fighting with cruel, or sinful enemies. That much could be expected though, Dragons are all unique, but a form of honor always existed among their kind, making Saldo nothing more then the perfect student. However true his ways may have been, his exile did hurt him greatly, both as a Mage, and a Man. He would continue to run, his name simply growing in stature, even with darkness looming over it. He would create and manage a Guild in recent years, Blood Oath, which would become known as a Dark Guild, both due to their Leader, and their wide acceptance of killing in general. Even so, the more experienced and open minded members of the Mage world knew full well he more or less walked the middle ground, and was far from a world wide Criminal, but changing the ways of the Elders, Magic Council, and all the "heroes" that claimed to be pure, was easier said then done, if not impossible.

Battle Information

Strength: Offense(Strength/Kill ratio)
Weakness: Speed
Weaponry and Supplies:

Magic's Name: - Dragonslayer(Steel)
- Great Knowledge Seeker
- Spirit Touch(Steel)
Magic's Description: Dragon Slayer allows the user, to a certain degree, to merge with a specific element. This means that their body's composition transforms to suit the new element. As a result of this, those with Dragon Slayer abilities are able to change their body to their own element, in both offensive and defensive styles. They can also consume external sources of their natural element to replenish themselves, although it has been demonstrated that certain foreign substances will substantially increase their power. Dragon Slayer users also have an incredible sense of smell.
Saldo's Magic is Steel, allowing him to become, or summon vast amounts to attack and defend, aswell as feed on it. Because of it's natural form, Steel can be used in all styles of battlefield tactics, but is most commonly used in a similar fashion to Ice, or Earth, using powerful bursts to overpower the enemy.

- Great Knowledge Seeker is a rather simple Magic, but can be used with great effect by any Mage with a good head on their shoulders. It allows the user to enter a meditative state, manipulating the mind to enter a realm within. In this realm, the user can look through their own memories with greater detail, allowing anything they may have forgotten, or not payed much attention to, to be pointed out. Obviously not an offensive magic, the state the user enters makes movement impossible. With each Mage, the "Mental World" is completely different.

- Spirit Touch is a Magic said to be passed down from the Elemental spirits that protect the planets resources. Because of this, other styles such as Earth and Wood, even Water or Ice, have been seen. Obviously, due to his earlier abilities, Saldo uses this Magic through Steel, which allows him to have a radar like sense of his surroundings. Anything in contact with the steel that he connects to, is revealed. This includes the overall Magic energy supply the person has, aswell as their weight and if weakened, the remains of their physical energy aswell. Though range is not exactly a weakness, the speed in which this information is sent to the user is determined by distance. The closer the target, the faster the read.

 That's just funny as hell. What a fool. I love all these wannabe fanboys claiming every character is stronger then the Gotei simply because of small bits n pieces of info said in the canon that did FAR from anything to explain it all.

I see this all the time, I can't help but feel sorry for others like us that have to be fed these half asses statements from these half asses fans. :faint:

Hahaha I agree. He never explained any reason as to why any of those Arrancar would beat the Gotei. He just assumed that Yammy would kill them all, even though not even Aizen could do that...

I hope he agrees with me after my "usual" long winded explanation of things...

Trust me, I'm the same way. It's like, you only correct these people to help them further understand the series that all of us love, yet they always reply with both uneducated reasoning, and horrible people skills

You and me alone have had a long winded debate ourselves, yet why is it us, with even further reason to lash out negatively to eachother, that have already switched to calm and respectful conversation? It's because we know what's right and what's wrong, and were only trying to educate eachother in the first place  Most of these people comment for the sake of getting respect and enter expecting victory and praise.

Yes, exactly! They reply with such certainty to things that they are assuming. They lash out towards me, when I am not condescending them, only trying to help them understand the series.

Yes, I accepted defeat, and as did you, in our little argument. Once we realized we were on the same page, there was no need to argue any longer... I completely agree, and it annoys me when these types of people expect me to accept defeat easily, and without them explaining. Sometimes, when they do explain, they just are completely and hopelessly misinformed.

Could you comment as well, and give your opinion?
